UNFPA Moldova operates under the Country Programme signed with the Republic of Moldova's Government for 2018-2022. The Program aims to support women and young people in realizing their sexual and reproductive health and rights by fostering gender equality and youth empowerment, building the country's demographic resilience through intergenerational dialogue between young and old, and the availability of quality data on population dynamics. A special focus is placed on the most vulnerable population to ensure that no one is left behind, especially during emergencies, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The Program works to empower women and young people with disabilities, HIV-affected, older, rural communities, low-income families, ethnic and sexual minorities through life skills education programs in vocational schools and non-formal education settings, inclusive sexual and reproductive health services, gender equality, intergenerational programs, and disaggregated data.
