For thousands of Ukrainian refugees who found their way to Moldova, life has been put on pause.

The war has drawn a line dividing human life into "before" and "after", but until the war is over, many people's lives are stuck somewhere in the middle, in a "stand by" mode, in other words, paused. What is it like to live without knowing what will happen tomorrow?

The "Life on pause" captures the emotional experience of every refugee we had a chance to interview, who share a feeling of emotional stagnation and uncertainty in their life. Despite the emotional stall the pursuit of hope is evermoving with our heroes learning Romanian, acquiring new skills, getting a job or education in their newfound home.
