This film was produced as part of  ‘Promoting Youth Health Education’ Project, implemented by UNFPA Moldova with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Bucharest, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Partnerships for Every Child, Y-PEER Moldova and PRO DIDACTICA. It describes the story of Ludmila, who became young mother at just 17 years old. Her story has a happy end, but is not typical, as the majority of girls in her situation face difficulties, stigmatization, health complications and risk of child abandonment. There are more than 2,600 young girls in Moldova who give birth every year. UNFPA togehter with partners supports the Government to ensure adequate health education and services to prevent teen pregnancies and adolescent births.
