In 2018 the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection launched the “Generations and Gender Programme” (GGP) that aims to strenghthen the availability of data on demographic processes of the Republic of Moldova. UN Populations Fund (UNFPA) became the main partner of the MoHLSP in the implementation of this Programme, with the role of increasing the capacity of national institutions to conduct the Generations and Gender Survey (GGS) using the internationally-recognized methodology, and to provide technical support to the Government in the development of human rights and evidencebased demographic policies.
