This initiative is carried out by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in partnership with Gender-Centru and the National Platform for Gender Equality, with financial support from the United Kingdom.

"I am extremely proud to support these nine women-led organizations, which will bring profound changes to their communities. Through their initiatives, they will combat gender stereotypes, empower other women, and educate future generations - men, women, and youth - about the importance of equality and respect for human rights. These actions are catalysts for change at the local level, contributing to a more equitable society in Moldova", stated Dr. Karina Nersesyan, UNFPA Resident Representative in Moldova.

"Through our project, we aim to bring real change to the local community and provide direct support to those who need it most. The 'Feminine Balance' project seeks to inspire and empower women in Ungheni district through trainings focused on personal and professional development. These sessions will help boost their confidence and economic independence, providing them with the tools necessary to overcome social barriers", said Aliona Manciu, coordinator of the project implemented by A.O. Baștina Frăsinești, a beneficiary of the grant program.
