Dara, a popular arist in Moldova, and "Bodyright" campaign Ambassador, visited the UNFPA Office in Chisinau, where she met with the UNFPA team members and the Resident Representative, Nigina Abaszada.
During the meeting, Nigina Abaszada appreciated Dara's support to the #bodyright campaign and her active involvement in combating digital violence. She mentioned that the song "Neiubire Virtuală"/Virtual Unlove was appreciated not only in Moldova, but also at the international level, handling the artist a diploma of gratitude for her outstanding contribution to the fight against violence.
"Music has a special role in promoting positive messages and creating a friendly environment for social change. We are very happy for this beautiful partnership and we are grateful to Dara for being such a passionate supporter of this cause", said Nigina Abaszada.
Dara mentioned that she has joined this movement because the ideas and values it promotes are close to her heart: "Messages are credible only if they come from the heart, that's why it's very important for us, artists, to share the same feelings. I have personally experienced online violence, so I will always sing and talk about it in order to stop it", said the singer.
The "Bodyright" campaign promotes online boundaries and calls for the protection of personal images in the digital environment. It was launched in the Republic of Moldova on the eve of the 16 days of activism against violence, and has already reached hundreds of thousands of people online.
