Journalist Mariana Țibuleac, former volunteer at UNFPA Moldova, continues to fight for awareness of the challenges faced by people with disabilities.

Infonet Alliance from the Republic of Moldova is one of the four winning organizations globally, which received a grant from UNFPA in a competition on the rights and reproductive health of people with disabilities.

The contest „AccessAbility innovation challenge” is organized by the United Nations Population Fund, and this year is the first time when an organization from the Republic of Moldova becomes a winner.

Infonet Alliance applied and obtained funding for the continuous development of the podcast „Overcoming Prejudices” created by the journalist Mariana Tibuleac, who dispells misinformation about disability conditions and associated challenges.

The producers plan to create a number of episodes exploring the various Sexual Reproductive Health and Gender Based Violence-based challenges and experiences that people with disabilities face.

Moreover, Infonet Alliance will also mentor and support content creators from within the disability community to empower their peers and include a more diverse range of voices to break down stigma and misinformation.

229 organizations from 54 countries participated in the „AccessAbility innovation challenge” Contest.
