On the occasion of the World Population Day, the Demographic Research Centre in partnership with UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund in Moldova, are launching the Demographic Barometer which analyses the impact of 1990-2014 economic crises on the Moldova population and main demographic processes.
A set of recommendations related to mitigating the impact of economic crisis on the population dynamics in Moldova will be proposed based on the Demographic Barometer findings, among which the necessity of investment in young people, especially teenage girls.
