UNFPA Moldova announces the signing of a strategic partnership agreement with the International Center "La Strada Moldova," marking a significant step in joint efforts to prevent violence and ensure a safe and equitable environment for all, both in the digital space and within communities.
Through this collaboration, we aim to develop and expand initiatives for the protection and prevention of gender-based violence (GBV), with a particular focus on combating online abuse and exploitation. The partnership will facilitate the exchange of best practices, the implementation of education and awareness programs, and the development of effective mechanisms to support victims.
"We are convinced that only through joint efforts can we build a society where every individual feels safe, both online and offline. This partnership reflects our strong commitment to supporting violence prevention initiatives and promoting gender equality," said Dr. Karina A. Nerseyan, UNFPA Moldova Representative.
"Digital violence is a growing issue, given the increasing reliance on the internet and digital devices in everyday life. Through our partnership with UNFPA Moldova, we will create opportunities to develop and implement programs and actions aimed at combating digital violence and supporting its victims," said Elena Botezatu, Executive Director of the International Center 'La Strada Moldova'.
Through this agreement, UNFPA Moldova and "La Strada" reaffirm their commitment to creating a future free from violence, where every individual, regardless of gender, age, or social background, has access to a safe and protected environment.
